New insights into the most profitable cropping systems in southern NSW
The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) has invested $9.5 million since 2017 in a groundbreaking project, led by CSIRO in collaboration with the NSW Department of Primary Industries, to identify the most profitable and least risky cropping rotations for southern New South Wales grain growers. In 2022, it embarked on a podcast with a difference, commissioning a series based on discussions after the Regional Cropping Solutions Network final dinner. The premise was to devote each episode to an individual with expertise in a different sector of the grains industry in the southern region, and delve into each of them as a person discussing their career history, influences and what motivates them.
