Author: Larissa Mullot, Public Affairs, Agricultural Biotechnology Council of Australia, 2022-01-16T09:00:00+11:00Scientists from Australia and the US have published a study in the Frontiers of Nutrition journal on the food and feed safety of genetically modified omega-3 canola, revealing its safety for use in human foods, nutraceuticals and animal feeds. The study also shows results that bring the GM canola a step closer to being part of a solution to alleviate the high pressure in marine resources for the production of omega-3 fatty acids.
